Job Summary
Organization is looking for a highly skilled mid-level Data Migration Developer to work closely with the Architect and Development Teams to support the ETL development activities of a program that has a diverse data portfolio. This team member will be responsible for creating and maintaining artifacts such as the ETL specifications, source to target data mappings, workflows, data dictionary, metadata repository, and development standards. In addition, the candidate will perform system administration tasks, which includes installation and configuration of SQL server & Interbase software, upgrading SQL server & Interbase, applying patches, troubleshooting when the server is down, adding and maintaining users and other migration and administrator related task.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in RDBMS: MS SQL Server / Interbase.
- 3+ years of experience in developing, testing and debugging ETL using SQL Server and SSIS.
- 3+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience required.
- SQL skills is required as the job involves more SQL trouble shooting.
- Familiar with ETL concepts and enterprise data modelling.
- Attention to detail and excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills, both individually and as a team member.
- Effective communication skills, speaking comfortably with all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and develop ETL for data warehouse systems, data conversion and migration strategies.
- Recommend ETL solution for Business Intelligence and data migration projects.
- Recommend data architectural principles and data strategies to integrate applications and reduce technical complexities and data redundancy.
- Develop ETL code, mappings, workflows and scripts. Perform performance tuning.
- Develop, test and debug ETL using SSIS and other tools.
